In an interview this weekend, President Lula gave his thoughts about the World Cup. The President approved of Dunga’s selections and tabbed Robinho to be the star of this summer. Lula said, “As the 1962 World Cup was all of Garrincha, I think Robinho is ready and focused for the 2010 Cup to be his.”
President Lula also said that he told the Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero he thought Spain had the best team going into this tournament.
This leads to the poll question of the day: who will breakout this summer to be a Brazilian star of the tournament? I left off already established players with high expectation, so no Kaka, Maicon, Luis Fabiano, etc. This question deals with players who might be under the radar this summer.
